Police are looking into the circumstances of an overnight shooting that left two teenage boys injured in a north Wichita neighborhood.

The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of North Poplar.  Officers found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his right upper leg.   They were taken to a hospital and they were in stable condition after surgery.

Police were talking to residents in the area to get more information, and there was no word on arrests, but police said information will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office.
