Walker Hayes says it wasn’t his idea to rework the lyrics to his hit “Fancy Like” into “Fancy Like Christmas” but he jumped at the chance when it was suggested, a move he said reignited his song writing passion. Walker says, “Once we had, ‘Go Jesus, it’s your birthday’ we were like, ‘This might be bigger than the original one,'”
