Police are investigating a shooting that left a Wichita man dead and two others injured early Sunday at an east side nightclub
Officers were watching the Onyx nightclub in the 10,000 block of East Kellogg when they heard several gunshots. They found 23-year-old Jaylon Pete with several gunshot wounds, and he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Two other Wichita men, ages 24 and 28, were hit by gunfire and they were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said a disturbance inside the business led to the shooting, but the exact circumstances are still under investigation. Detectives and officers are looking for a suspect. A news conference has been scheduled for Monday morning.
