WSU Tech held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday to open new state-of-the-art healthcare labs and classrooms at its south campus.

The new facilities at WSU Tech South at 3821 East Harry will be in use until 2026.  They will provide training facilities for the Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Surgical Technology, and short-term programs such as Certified Nursing Assistant.    The facilities were relocated from WSU Old Town.

WSU Tech president Dr. Sheree Utash said the facilities will help address the talent pipeline needs for the healthcare industry.   She said this will be a temporary facility until August, 2026, when WSU Tech will join with Wichita State University and the University of Kansas in a new medical health campus in downtown Wichita.
