1. It was unruly at times, as one can expect a debate to be, but after the smoke had cleared from last nights 2nd Republican debate the exit polls show that the 7 candidates on stage did very little to gain on Donald Trump’s lead, who once again didn’t attend.

2. First Netflix and now Disney+ has started their crackdown on password sharing.  It will start in November in Canada and more than likely make it’s way to us next year.

3. There was no winner in last night’s Powerball game – the jackpot on Saturday climbs to $925M

4. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy rejected the Senate’s bipartisan short-term funding proposal. He plans to bring Republican-led stopgap bill to the House floor Friday. If no deal is reached, the government shutdown is set to begin Sunday.

5. California is set to pass an Amsterdam like law that will allow the opening of Cannabis Cafes.  It’s intended to bring down black market sales and increase tax revenue.  Let’s just say the coffee and panini prices won’t be the only thing high in these cafes.
