Parmalee is a country music band hailing from Parmele, North Carolina. Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, along with their cousin Barry Knox and childhood friend Josh McSwain, Parmalee has been making waves in the country music scene since their formation in 2001.

Growing up in a small town, the members of Parmalee were heavily influenced by the sounds of classic country music. They were raised on a steady diet of artists like Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Allman Brothers Band, which helped shape their unique blend of country, rock, and bluegrass.

Parmalee’s journey to success was not without its challenges. In 2010, the band experienced a setback when they were victims of a violent robbery while on tour. Scott Thomas was shot during the incident, but thankfully, he made a full recovery. This traumatic event only strengthened their resolve to pursue their dreams and make a mark in the music industry.

Their breakthrough came in 2012 with the release of their debut single, “Musta Had a Good Time.” The song quickly gained popularity and climbed the country music charts, peaking at number 38. This success led to a record deal with Stoney Creek Records, and Parmalee’s career took off from there.

Their debut album, “Feels Like Carolina,” was released in December 2013 and was met with critical acclaim. The album spawned three more hit singles, including the chart-topping “Carolina,” which became their first number one hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Parmalee’s unique sound, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics resonated with fans across the country, solidifying their place in the country music scene.

Since then, Parmalee has continued to release chart-topping hits and tour extensively, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in country music. Their sophomore album, “27861,” released in 2017, showcased their growth as artists and further solidified their place in the industry.

Parmalee’s music is known for its high-energy performances, infectious hooks, and relatable storytelling. Their songs often touch on themes of love, small-town life, and the joys and struggles of everyday people. Their ability to connect with their audience through their music has earned them a dedicated fan base and numerous accolades.
In addition to their musical success, Parmalee is also known for their philanthropic efforts. They have been involved in various charitable initiatives, including supporting military veterans and their families through partnerships with organizations like Operation Homefront.

With their unique blend of country, rock, and bluegrass, Parmalee continues to captivate audiences with their heartfelt lyrics and energetic performances. As they continue to evolve as artists, there is no doubt that Parmalee will leave an indelible mark on the country music genre for years to come.
