The Kansas Turnpike Authority is opening the new fully electronic Southern Terminal near the Oklahoma Border.

Vehicles that have K-Tag, Oklahoma PikePass, or Texas TollTag, will be able to maintain highway speeds as they pass through the southern terminal without stopping.  Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas have a cooperative agreement for their electronic turnpike systems to work in each state.

Cash or card customers will still have to exit right and use the toll plaza to either pick up a card or pay the turnpike toll.  The electronic terminal will be video enforced, and those who pass through without a K-Tag who do not pay, will receive a mailed statement with a bill that will be at a higher rate than the normal turnpike fee.
