Three construction workers were injured in a crash Wednesday morning on the Kansas Turnpike south of Mulvane.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the three workers were hit by a semi tractor-trailer in a construction zone on the Turnpike around 9:30 a.m. One was in critical condition and the other two had serious injuries.
The crash forced the closure of the southbound lanes of the Turnpike, and traffic was detoured at Mulvane. The southbound lanes were reopened around 1 p.m.
