Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday in south Wichita.
The shooting was reported around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Seneca Place Apartments at 2116 South Seneca. Officers found 69-year-old James Gibson dead in one of the apartments. He had several gunshot wounds.
Police used surveillance cameras and the FLOCK license plate reading system to track down a suspect, and a 36-year-old Wichita man was arrested for first degree murder, robbery and firearms charges. Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for the filing of charges.
