An Ellinwood man was transferred to a Wichita hospital after an accident in Barton County left him with serious injuries.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office said 20-year-old Kaden Baird had been lying in the eastbound lane of NW 100 Road, just west of Hoisington, around 11:30 Friday night. The driver of an eastbound car tried to avoid hitting him but ended up running over both his legs.
Baird was taken to a hospital in Hoisington and later transferred to Wichita. Deputies are still investigating.
