Wichita firefighters battled a fire that broke out inside a solid waste transfer station late Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly before 6 p.m. at the facility near 37th Street North and West Street. Crews found smoke coming from the facility and fire inside the building.
Crews were on the scene into the evening and the cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
