The McPherson school board has voted to make plans for a bond election in November.
The USD 418 school district is working on an $88.5 million bond issue that would fund improvements to high school facilities, including a new academic building for grades 9-12. There would also be renovations for the performing arts wing, CTE classrooms and the Roundhouse athletic facility.
The bond issue will also finance security and safety improvements for the elementary schools, along with upgrades to mechanical systems.
The bond issue will be on the ballot for the city and school board races in the November 7th general election.
