A south Wichita building that caught fire back in April was destroyed after another fire Tuesday morning.
Officials said the fire broke out in the 1200 block of S. Broadway around 3:20 a.m. Crews were able to get the fire under control in about a half and hour, but said the building collapsed as they tried to put the blaze out.
Search and investigations of the structure were delayed as the building was deemed unstable.
The fire department said the building is known to have been inhabited by the homeless. No one was hurt, and the cause is still under investigation.
