Look, they’ve been successful with their live action remakes. The trolls have hit pretty hard, but box office tells a different story. My favorite thus far is Mulan. Pretty well done. So, what is next? BAMBI! Yes, the cute little fawn who loses his mom and makes a bunch of new forest friends.
Disney says the classic film will be next to get the live-action treatment. Many sources say that Sarah Polley is rumored to serve as director of the project. Nothing is set in stone yet, but if she does do a deal, it will be the biggest project she’s undertaken. The new version will be a musical with songs from country star Kacey Musgraves.
Man, Bambi holds a special place for many. Lets see if the Disney magic continues.
