Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Lonnie Bedwell. Lonnie just did something only 4 other people without sight have done. With the help of the crew from the orginization Sightless Summits, Lonnie became only the 4th blind person to reach the summit of Mt. Everest. Lonnie spent more than a month ascending and then descending the world’s tallest mountain. Lonnie also faced the challenges of bad weather and a failing oxygen mask, but he did it. Congratulations Lonnie on your amazing accomplishment and THANK YOU for your service.
