Football fans are gathering in Kansas City for the 2023 NFL Draft.

An estimated 300-thousand people are expected to attend the festivities at Union Station and the World War One Museum and Memorial through Saturday. The first round of the NFL Draft starts Thursday evening at 7.  Rounds two and three will take place Friday and the final rounds will be Saturday.

The Chiefs have the 31st overall pick and hold 10 total picks in the draft. The Chiefs selected cornerback Trent McDuffie and defensive end George Karlaftis in the first round last year.

The Carolina Panthers own the first pick and are widely expected to take a quarterback to kick things off. Quarterbacks Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, and Anthony Richardson are all expected to be taken early and potentially within the top ten. Teams with multiple first round picks include the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles.

The NFL said the maximum capacity for the site is 60,000 and once that capacity is met, people won’t be able to get in until others leave.
