The Wichita Police Department identified 33-year-old Quentin Bonham of Wichita as the man killed in Thursday morning’s crash.
Police say the driver of an SUV called 911 to report they had partially stalled out while merging onto eastbound Kellogg from I-135. This left the SUV partially in the merge lane and partially in eastbound lanes of traffic.
Bonham was driving a Honda sedan and hit the rear of the SUV while also merging onto Kellogg. He was rushed to a hospital and died shortly after.
A 28-year-old woman, 15-year-old girl, and 2-year-old girl were in the SUV and were not hurt.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
