Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Ismael Murillo. During one of the toughest times of his cancer battle, where he had cancer and covid, Ismael purchased a few things from a legally blind and partially deaf street vendor named Sebastian Ibanez. A broom, mop and some N-95 masks that Ismael was having trouble finding at the time. Fast forward 3 years later, Sebasitan suffered a setback of his own. Although he doesn’t drive or have a driver’s license, he owns a van and uses it to move and store his product. Usually, his wife or a family member drive him to intersections across Mesa where he sells his goods. The van was involved in a crash and put Sebastian’s business at risk of coming to an end. The other day, without asking for anything in return, Murillo gave Sebastian Ibañez a helping hand and gifted him a minivan. Thank you Ismael for your kindness and THANK YOU for your service
