Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the Veteran organization “Veteran X”. “Veteran X is a for-profit organization developed to hire veterans to prevent veteran suicides. Everyone who works at Veteran X is a veteran, and for many, psychological darkness is no stranger. That peer-to-peer support is central to their efforts to not only get veterans help but to help them get it from someone with whom they can identify. In addition to the hotline, they also try to help out veterans in financial distress. The emergency funds, could be for a popped tire, could be for some veteran to get food, it could be for rent for their apartment. Thank you Veteran X for helping and to the Veterans who work there and the Veterans you help, THANK YOU for your service.
