135-crash-2

The Wichita Police Department reported dozens of accidents in the city early Wednesday afternoon as a mix of freezing fog, snow and drizzle created slick driving conditions, especially for elevated highways and bridges.

A number of accidents were reported along Kellogg, at Seneca, I-135, Grove, Armour and Webb Road.  There were also accidents in I-135 at 21st Street North and at the junction of I-235 and K-96, among many other locations.

The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan was put into effect.   For accidents with no injuries, no DUI involved, and the cars can still be driven, there is no need to call 911. Drivers can exchange information and file an accident report within 24 hours online.
