Former Wichita State University men’s basketball star Ron Baker has been released by the New York Knicks.
The Scott City native signed with the Knicks in August of 2016 as an undrafted rookie free agent. Baker played in 92 games over 3 seasons with 14 starts where he averaged 14.7 minutes, 3.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game.
In a news release Knicks President Steve Mills said, “Ron is a true professional and we thank him for all of his contributions during his time with the Knicks. His dedication and passion for the game are unquestioned and have been truly appreciated by our fans and organization. We wish him all the best.”
