The Kansas Highway Patrol said a utility terrain vehicle struck a bull on a roadway in Kingman County late Friday night, killing the driver and injuring a passenger.
Troopers said the crash was reported shortly before 10:30 p.m. A UTV was eastbound on Southeast 20th Street, west of 120th Avenue, east of Murdock. The vehicle struck a bull in the roadway and tumbled into a ditch, and the driver and passenger were thrown off the vehicle.
The driver, 19-year-old Max Wewe of Pretty Prairie, was killed. The passenger, 21-year-old Cade Fairchild of Cheney, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
