Shortly before 2:00 this morning, Wichita Police responded to an injury accident in the 6600 block of E Kellogg, near Kellogg and Armour.
The initial 911 call reported a single vehicle had rolled over in the Eastbound lanes of Kellogg with two people inside. As officers arrived on scene, they learned that a second wreck involving a motorcycle had occurred just after the first crash.
Authorities said an SUV was headed Eastbound on Kellogg with two occupants; a 48-year-old female and a 28-year-old male. The female driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the median, causing the SUV to roll over.
An uninvolved woman saw the turned-over SUV and stopped to render aid. As she rendering doing so, a motorcycle with two occupants then struck the female and hit the SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene. The female passenger on the motorcycle was seriously injured along with the female driver of the SUV. The male passenger in the SUV was not injured.
The woman who was struck by the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
