Today, I salute Wichita native, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Glenda Miller. Recently, Glenda spent her time giving first responder training to Sailors on the mess decks of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) in the Pacific Ocean. The USS Gridley is assigned to the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and is underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations on a scheduled deployment, demonstrating the U.S. Navy’s unwavering commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. The training Glenda provides is an invaluable part of the skills sailors aboard the Gridley possess. Thank you for making us Wichita proud, Glenda, and THANK YOU for your service.
