Today, the AWESOME is in North Carolina. When Hurricane Helene hit last fall, it changed so many lives forever. The loss of life and property will be hard to forget as the area continues to rebuild. So, when holidays like Easter roll around, it’s an opportunity for kids to enjoy a little bit of normal and maybe start making new, positive memories. That’s where former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle came in. A licensed helicopter pilot, he first made news helping people in the Black Mountain area escape the devastation shortly after the storm hit. On Easter, he was back with his helicopter and the Easter Bunny riding shotgun, dropping over a thousand eggs to kids and families who were hardest hit by the storm. An act of kindness that put smiles on faces that needed them most, THAT’S AWESOME.
