Today, the AWESOME is “Pawsome,” and it comes from Terre Haute, Indiana. This story brought the internet to tears. A dog named Rain was abandoned by her owners, and pictures of her sitting on the porch of her empty house soon went viral. Enter Taylor Bullock, founder and CEO of Happy Tails Animal Rescue, who was horrified when she saw a Facebook post about a dog whose owners moved out and left her behind. Hours and days and no social media changes, Taylor took matters into her own hands and drove over there. She was heartbroken when she saw the white dog waiting on the porch for her family. The poor animal had sores on her body, was incredibly dirty, and her ears looked frostbitten.
Fast-forward to today, and Rain is clean, happy, and healthy. She is in a foster home with other dogs and a new family, waiting for her forever home. Letting an abandoned dog know that its unconditional love matters. That’s Awesome.
