Today, I salute Air Force Veteran Alex Olley. After his service in the Air Force, Alex saw the culmination of a lifelong dream come true when he joined NASA as a Pathways Intern in 2023. Fast forward to today, Alex now serves as a contract specialist in the International Space Station Procurement Office at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. What does that mean? It means he’s the guy who keeps ISS operations moving. Alex manages the procurement of supplies, services, and research for the International Space Station. His role requires sharp attention to federal regulations and a deep understanding of business practices, all while supporting the astronauts who live and work 250 miles above Earth. Alex says he takes great pride in the opportunity to contribute to NASA’s mission each day. Thank you for inspiring others to go after their childhood dreams, Alex, and THANK YOU for your service.
