Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that ruptured a gas line just northwest of Wichita.

A pickup and a minivan collided around 5:45 p.m. Friday at 21st Street North and 167th Street West.   Natural gas was coming from a break in a line at the intersection when crews arrived.  Fire crews and a team from Black Hills Energy worked to cap the leak.

A 74-year-old man from the pickup was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.  Three people from the minivan, a 46-year-old man and two children ages 11 and 13, were taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries.

Traffic was blocked around the area for a time after the crash.
