Today, the AWESOME is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While spring and summer make their way to our area, winter is still hanging on up north. While on patrol, Officer Dylan Barta noticed an elderly resident struggling to shovel snow from her steps and sidewalk. Concerned for her safety, he immediately stepped in. Without hesitation, he grabbed a shovel and cleared the entire walkway, ensuring the path was safe and accessible. The unexpected kindness deeply moved the very grateful woman. The Minneapolis Police Department praised Dylan’s selfless act on social media, saying, “This act of kindness is just one example of the dedication our officers have in serving their communities. Great job, Officer!” Great job indeed, Dylan, THAT’S AWESOME.
