The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has reported more cases of measles in the southwest part of the state.

Four additional cases were reported Friday to bring the total number of cases to 10, and all of the cases involve children under the age of 17.   Health officials said 16 of the children were unvaccinated, and the remaining case was a child who was under-vaccinated.   The cases were reported in Morton, Grant and Stevens counties.

It’s not clear if the cases are connected to recent outbreaks in Texas, New Mexico and other states.
