Today, the AWESOME is in New Haven, Connecticut. Keontrai Floyd has faced some big challenges and is grateful for second chances. He grew up in Virginia and was homeless for about eight years. He finally moved in with his dad in Connecticut, got enrolled in school, and started focusing on his grades. Making better choices and getting good grades, he is now thriving. In an effort to share his gratitude, Keontrai became a community hero, organizing a toy drive. A couple of days ago, the city of New Haven celebrated Keontrai and his generosity and presented him with an official citation for his heartfelt toy donation to the local homeless shelter. Second chances and a generous heart, Keontrai, THAT’S AWESOME.
