Today, we salute Army Veteran Jay Ammo. Jay was born in Guyana, finding a career in music wasn’t easy. While his parents encouraged his musical interests, they tried to discourage him from making it a career. His first time on stage came at the encouragement of his Sunday school teacher. He wasn’t interested in performing, but she pushed him to take the stage, and that moment started his passion for music. He started playing guitar, and he joined the choir, which got him more involved in music. After serving in the Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan, he landed in Clarksville, Tennessee. It was the military that gave Jay the mental stability and confidence he needed to pursue his dreams. He is ready for his musical dreams to take the next step as he’s getting ready for his turn in the battle rounds on The Voice.  Congratulations on your place on the Voice Jay, and THANK YOU for your service.
