Winfield fire officials said an early morning fire Saturday sent two people to a hospital.
The fire was reported around 5:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of Fuller Street, and crews saw flames coming from a two-story home. One resident was on the roof and was rescued by fire crews, while four other occupants were able to get out. Two of them were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The house was left with extensive fire and smoke damage, and the cause is under investigation.
