A Wichita man has been charged with second degree murder in a fatal stabbing earlier this week.

The charge was presented Thursday against 24-year-old William Ball, and his bond was set at $250,000.  His next court appearance was scheduled for March 24th.

Ball is charged in the stabbing death of 51-year-old Brian Edwards.  He died at a hospital from stab wounds to his upper body.  Police said the stabbing happened in the 4100 block of East Whitney Lane, in a neighborhood near Pawnee and George Washington Boulevard.   Investigators said Ball and Edwards knew each other, but no information has been released on the circumstances that led to the stabbing.
