Today, we salute Marine Veteran Nickolas Garrett. There are many ways to say “Thank you for your service,” and a roofing company in Nickolas’ hometown did it with the help of Habitat for Humanity and the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project. The initiative, a partnership between roofing supply company Owens Corning and Habitat for Humanity, is a nationwide effort to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Since the inception of this program in 2016, more than 650 military members have received new roofs. Nickolas received the entire project free, with all the materials and labor donated.
