Wichita school officials have removed language about diversity, inclusion and accountability from the school district’s website.
District officials made the change because they would lose millions of dollars in federal funding if they didn’t comply with the new rules from the U.S. Department of Education, which is being phased out by the Trump administration. The district is reviewing its policies to determine next steps.
