The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said a third suspect has been arrested in connection with an acid attack on a Wichita teenager last summer.
A 17-year-old girl was arrested in Topeka and returned to Wichita, and a detention hearing was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Juvenile District Court.
Two other suspects, 19 year old Tayronnia West of Park City and 19 year old Ye’Kira Hollins of Wichita, have been scheduled for a jury trial on April 28th on charges of aggravated battery.
The three teens were arrested for a May 26th, 2024 incident in the 400 block of North Dodge. Police said a fight resulted in an acidic liquid being thrown at 18-year-old Passion Turner, and she went to a hospital with second degree burns to her face and neck.
