A one-year-old child died Friday night after a shooting at a south Wichita home.
Police were called to the 2200 block of South Santa Fe around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. That’s in a neighborhood northeast of the intersection of Pawnee and Broadway. A child was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body, and died a short time later.
Police were on the scene into the late-night hours looking into the circumstances of the shooting.
