The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in finding vehicles that were involved in a recent shooting incident in Oaklawn.
Deputies were called to the 3000 block of East Fairhaven around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, February 15th on a report of gunfire. They found a number of shell casings in the street and also discovered that several homes and vehicles had been hit by gunfire. There were no injuries.
It’s believed that a light-colored Ford Explorer, a dark-colored four-door sedan and a gray 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer were involved in the incident. The shooters are believed to have been associated with the unidentified Ford Explorer and the four-door sedan. The Sheriff’s Office released surveillance photos of the vehicles and they’re asking residents of the Oaklawn area to check any exterior surveillance footage from 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 to 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 16 for sightings of the vehicles involved.
