A portion of a north Wichita street will be closed for much of the day Friday for construction work.
Northbound and southbound traffic will be closed on Hydraulic at 29th Street North from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kansas Department of Transportation crews will be pouring a bridge deck as part of an ongoing construction project at the North Junction.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured. Motorists needing access to southbound I-135 can travel north on Ohio Street east on 37th Street, and south on Hillside Avenue to westbound K-96, where they can continue to southbound I-135.
Drivers should plan for extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.
