An unidentified man was critically injured in an accidental shooting Sunday evening in northeast Wichita.
Police were called to the North YMCA in the 3300 block of North Woodlawn around 5:30 p.m. Police said a man was walking toward the YMCA when he reached into his bag, and a gun inside the bag went off, sending a bullet into his leg.
Police are still investigating and they’re wanting to find out if the man intended to take the gun into the YMCA, where guns are not allowed.
