Today, we salute Marine Veteran Dan Blake. At 66 years old, this Marine has spent his life pushing himself, so why should his next challenge be any different? On March 7, Dan will get on his bike in San Diego and ride east 2,941 miles across the country to St. Augustine, Florida. The goal is to do it in 53 days, sometimes riding as much as 90 miles in a day, with only 8 days of rest the entire journey.  Some days he’ll ride 36 miles. On other days, he’ll push nearly 90. Dan is taking on this challenge to raise money and awareness for Stroke Onward, a nonprofit dedicated to helping stroke survivors navigate the emotional and psychological challenges of recovery.
