Wichita police have arrested two suspects in a fatal shooting Tuesday evening in southeast Wichita.
Police found 23-year-old Manuel Roach around 6 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Bleckley. He was taken to a hospital where he later died from a gunshot wound.
Investigators said Roach was involved in a disturbance with three other men who were dressed in all black clothing, and after the shooting they left in a white SUV. A short time later, an 18-year-old man turned up at a hospital with a gunshot wound, and it was discovered that he was involved in the shooting on Bleckley. He was booked into jail for first degree murder. A 22-year-old man was arrested later in northeast Wichita and was also booked on a first degree murder count.
The circumstances of the shooting are still unknown but police believe this was a targeted incident with people who are known to each other.
Detectives are still following leads and talking to witnesses. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Wichita Police Department Detectives at 316-268-4407. For those wishing to remain anonymous, tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
