Wichita police said a teenage girl escaped an abduction attempt on Monday.
Police said a 14-year-old girl was walking home in the 2500 block of West Esthner around 3:40 p.m. when a maroon car pulled up. The driver made inappropriate comments and tried to get the girl into the car.
The man was described as about six feet tall with a medium muscular build and a medium complexion, and he had dark curly hair with a short black beard.
Police released a photo of a suspect vehicle and urged anyone with information to contact the police department. They’re also urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
