A Mulvane man has been sentenced to a little over three and a half years in prison for a crash last year that killed an off-duty Clearwater police officer.
A Sedgwick County district judge handed down the sentence for 20-year-old Gage Kaiser, who pleaded guilty in December to involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence. Kaiser was sentenced to 43 months in prison and ordered to pay close to $3,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors said off-duty officer Scott Hollingsworth was driving home on March 16th, 2024 when his vehicle was hit by a pickup that failed to yield at a stop sign at 119th Street South and Broadway.
