Police said the driver of an SUV had a medical emergency when the vehicle crashed into a west Wichita restaurant on Saturday.
The driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the crash around 3:30 p.m. The SUV crashed into a McAllister’s Deli at Maple and Ridge Road, but no one inside the restaurant was hurt. A passenger in the SUV also escaped injury.
