A 75-year-old man was in extremely critical condition after a hit-and-run crash Thursday evening in the Oaklawn neighborhood, just south of Wichita.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said the man was driving east on 47th Street South around 5 p.m. when he was hit by a southbound SUV at Clifton. The man was thrown from his vehicle and then run over by his vehicle.
The SUV left the scene and deputies were looking for it. The intersection was closed for several hours after the crash.
