Today, the AWESOME is in Jackson Township, Ohio. School bus drivers are special people and are charged with getting our kids to and from school safely. What Army Veteran, former police officer, and bus driver Todd Morris did went beyond those duties. On a day when school was closed, Morris was heading home after an appointment when he spotted smoke pouring out of a house that was on his bus route. Morris didn’t hesitate; he called 911 and rushed toward the house. His only thought was to get the kids to safety. He ran in and out of the house several times, finding two dogs at the bottom of the stairs. He was able to coax one out while he carried the other which had special needs. Thankfully, no one else was home at the time. Todd Morris said he believes he was put in the right place at the right time for a reason. Going above and beyond with bravery, THAT’S AWESOME.
