Today, we salute Marine Veteran Travis McVey. Travis says it was one of the greatest honors of his life joining the Marines. He was on active duty by his 19th birthday and was eventually selected to be a presidential Honor Guard for President George Herbert Bush. 16 years after he left the Marines, two of his Marine buddies died. Richard Gaston was killed on duty as a state trooper after service, and former Marine Thomas Rabjohn was killed on deployment to Afghanistan after he joined the National Guard. To honor his fallen friends and all the fallen, Travis had an idea and created Heroes Vodka. A veteran-owned business with 10% of all proceeds going to Veterans and First Responders. Heroes is now being bottled at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky and, to date, has raised over $250K for charity. Thank you, Travis, for giving back, and THANK YOU, Travis, Richard, and Thomas, for your service and sacrifice.
