A Wichita man has pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing child sexual abuse materials over the I nternet.
The plea was entered by 28-year-old Sebastian Grattan to one count of distribution of child pornography. He admitted creating an account on a messaging app and using it to distribute materials in November, 2023.
Grattan was turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, and he is scheduled to be sentenced on April 10th. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors said this case was part of the nationwide Project Safe Childhood initiative. U.S. Attorney’s Offices help in bringing together federal, state and local resources to locate, apprehend and prosecute those who exploit children via the Internet. The program also works to identify and rescue victims.
